Papeeti, Tahiti- The beginning of my trip in FP

300 inhabitants on this island... 5 miles to bike around the island (thirty minutes). Right at sea level with hills but only one sandy beach on the island!

The Beach Comber on Raiatea..

I would come here and have a cafe' or fresh fruit juice while enjoying my coco pain... (like hawaiian sweet bread) and little mini bananas for breakfast.... I just LOVED the bungalows over the water!

I stayed with Maeva's aunt in a guest house outside the family house...my own little get away! It was SWEET!! I loved this island... It was HUGE so I couldn't really bike around the entire island... but I biked around quite a bit.

Nadia and I biked 38 miles around the island... YIKEESS!!! The bikes weren't in very good condition and my change rolled off a few times... It was quite a magnificant view once we reached the top of the mountain and looked down...

"The" Beach in town on Huahine...

They named the island Huahine... It has a reference to WOMAN... The small hills in the photo are said to be in the shape of a woman sunbathing in the nude... It looks like it really is that!
